SwimAmerica lessons are designed for swimmers of all ages and ability levels, including preschool-aged children, teens, and adults. Our instructors place swimmers in the appropriate level based on their comfort and skill in the water.
How do swimmers progress through the program?
Our program uses a structured, goal-driven progression system where swimmers advance after mastering specific skills. This allows each swimmer to learn at their own pace while building confidence and strong technique.
Do you offer lessons for beginners?
Yes! We welcome beginners of all ages. Our lessons focus on foundational water safety skills, comfort in the water, floating, breathing control, and basic swim techniques in a supportive environment.
What should swimmers bring to class?
Swimmers should bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles (optional but recommended), and a positive attitude! Additional items may be recommended depending on the swimmer’s age or lesson type.
Why is water safety such an important part of the program?
Water safety is at the heart of SwimAmerica’s teaching philosophy. Our lessons help swimmers develop important survival skills, confidence, and awareness that can help keep them safe in and around the water for life.
